Jackie came into the store today to find a new harness so she could work on some skills to become a Therapet for the ARL! Therapets are animals who have passed a test at the ARL to see how well they handle meeting new people and hearing different noises, and to make sure they have good manners. These Therapets are able to go into schools, nursing homes, or any of our other partner facilities to bring joy to everyone from age 0-100. Some of our Therapets have helped support children going through court trials, students studying for exams, and elderly people who don’t own pets anymore, among many other things. Your pet doesn’t just have to be a dog, either! We have Therapet ducks, pigeons, bunnies, cats, and all breeds of dogs from pomeranians to pitbulls.

Jackie is well on her way to becoming one of these great volunteers, and her new no-pull harness will help her on her outings or in her training classes. These no-pull harnesses come in many colors and sizes, and they help you have a lot more control when walking your dog. They even come with a double-ended leash so you can attach it multiple ways to fit your walking or training style. Come bring your dog in to the ARL Main location to get fitted for one of these awesome no-pull harnesses!
